Mountains always make me think about perspective.

When you stand in front of something so much bigger than yourself, everyday things suddenly become smaller and quieter.
In this painting I wanted to keep that feeling.

I worked with deep, almost black tones at the base and gradually brought more light into the mountains and sky. The warm golden details appeared slowly between the layers - not as decoration, but like small reflections of light finding their way through.
The round canvas was important for this work. There are no corners and no clear beginning or end. Your eye moves naturally through the landscape and returns again to the light.
From a distance, the painting feels calm and almost minimal. Up close, you discover the texture, small imperfections, layers and details hidden in the mountains and foreground.
For me, this work is about stillness, strength and light.
And about remembering that sometimes we need to look beyond what is directly in front of us.
