I wanted this painting to have movement, but not an obvious direction.

The dark areas give it strength, while the white and softer beige tones open the composition and bring in light. I built the surface gradually, leaving some marks rough and visible instead of trying to make everything perfect.

Depending on the distance and the light, the painting changes. From across the room it feels bold and graphic. Up close, you start to notice the smaller lines, texture and quieter transitions between the colours.

I like that contrast - something strong from a distance, but much more detailed when you come closer.
