Sometimes you don't need to know exactly where you are going. You just need to go. That was the thought behind this painting.

I wanted the landscape to feel much bigger than the person inside it. Rough, uncertain, perhaps even a little intimidating. But I didn't want the figure to look lost. For me, it is the opposite - there is already a direction.

The light became an important part of the painting while I was working. I left a lot of open space above because I didn't want to fill every part of the canvas. That emptiness is necessary. It gives somewhere to go.

The small figure came almost at the end. And after that, the painting had its name.
